# Prepare for the Creator Studio sunset

> Save the projects you already built and see which tools now handle written content, transcripts, clips, and video editing.

**Creator Studio** is being sunset. Download the content from your existing projects, and create any future content by referring to the feature relocation table.

## Export Creator Studio content

Kajabi has already moved your video clips into your Media Library, so those are safe. The rest of what you built in Creator Studio is not saved automatically: running the export is the step that keeps your written content, transcripts, and subtitle files, and Kajabi emails them to you.

One export covers your whole account, so you do not have to open projects one at a time. Download all content you developed with Creator Studio even for content you're not sure you still need.

<Warning>
  **Warning:** Anything you do not export before Creator Studio is removed will be permanently deleted and can't be recovered. Your video clips are the exception, because those are already in your Media Library.
</Warning>

1. Select **More** in the left sidebar of your Kajabi Dashboard, then select **Creator Studio**. If **Creator Studio** is not listed there, contact Kajabi Support, because your account may still hold content to export.

2. Find the **Creator Studio is being retired** banner at the top of your projects list. If you do not see it, the export is not available on your account yet.

3. Click **Export my projects**. This starts your written content export:

   </Frame>

4. Open the email **Your Creator Studio export is ready** when it arrives. Kajabi sends it to the account owner, even when someone else starts the export.

5. Sign in to your Kajabi account, then click **Download Creator Studio export** in that email.

Your export arrives as a single ZIP file. Inside it, a **projects** folder holds one folder per project, and each project folder contains:

* Written content the project generated, such as blog posts, emails, social captions, and website copy, as .txt files
* Transcripts as .txt files
* Subtitle files as .srt or .vtt files

A **MANIFEST.txt** file at the top level lists every file in the archive, along with anything Kajabi could not include and why. Projects you deleted before running the export are included too, in a separate **deleted-projects** folder.

<Note>
  **Note:** The export covers every site in your account, not only the site you start it from, and only an owner, subowner, or administrator can run it. Anything that has not finished generating, or that you create while the export is being built, is left out, so run the export again to pick it up.
</Note>

### Find video clips in Media Library

Kajabi moved your video clips into your [**Media Library**](/articles/media-library/media-library-overview) on September 9, 2026, so they are already waiting for you there. They sit alongside the rest of your video and stay available after Creator Studio is removed. Your emailed ZIP file holds text only, so look for your clips in Media Library rather than in the ZIP file.

Your clips carry the Tag **Creator Studio**, so you can filter your library by that Tag to see them on their own. From there you can use them anywhere in Kajabi that takes a video from your library.

Clips that had finished processing are the ones that moved. Clips you deleted were not brought back, even though your ZIP file does include the written content from projects you deleted.

If a clip is missing, click **Export my projects** to move over anything still left in Creator Studio. That is also how a clip that finishes after September 9, 2026 reaches your Media Library. Running the export more than once is safe: clips already in your Media Library are not added a second time, and if you remove the **Creator Studio** Tag from a clip, a later export puts it back.

If you also want a copy on your own computer, download a clip before Creator Studio is removed:

1. Open a project in **Creator Studio**.
2. Find a finished clip in the project's clip list.
3. Click the download icon on that clip.

## Turn videos into written content

Creator Studio generates blog posts, emails, social captions, and landing page copy from a video. [**Kajabi MCP**](/articles/api-integrations/connect-kajabi-to-claude-or-chatgpt) covers the same ground, and it drafts directly into Kajabi rather than handing you text to copy out.

Kajabi MCP connects your Kajabi account to an AI tool such as Claude or ChatGPT. You describe what you want in plain language, and it builds the draft inside Kajabi for you to review and publish. It can draft Blog Posts, Email Broadcasts, Email Sequences, and Landing Pages, along with Offers, Courses, and Coaching products.

Because Kajabi MCP works from a conversation rather than from a video file, you are not limited to repurposing recordings. You can paste in a transcript, describe a topic, or ask it to work from content already in your account.

You will need an AI tool that supports MCP, such as Claude or ChatGPT.<br /><br />[Learn how to connect Kajabi to Claude or ChatGPT](../../api-integrations/connect-kajabi-to-claude-or-chatgpt).

## Generate transcripts and captions

Creator Studio produces a transcript and a subtitle (.srt) file for each video. That work now happens in the [**Media Library**](/articles/media-library/media-library-overview), the central place where your Kajabi video and audio files live.

From a video's asset detail page in Media Library, you can:

* Generate a transcript automatically, or upload a transcript you already have
* Edit the transcript in an interactive editor
* Download and edit SRT files
* Translate a transcription from 30+ source languages into 70+ languages
* Add a dubbed voiceover in another language

**Translations** and **Dubbing** both require a transcription to exist first.

**Transcriptions**, Translations, and Dubbing run on [**AI Credits**](/articles/account-settings/billing/ai-credits). Pro and Founders plans include 1,000 AI Credits each month and Growth includes 500. Any plan can purchase additional credits from **Settings** > **Account Settings** > **Subscription & Billing**.

## Create video clips

Creator Studio let you turn highlighted transcript sentences into short video clips, either by selecting them manually or using AI key moments. Kajabi does not yet have a built-in replacement for transcript-based clipping, so you must use a video tool outside Kajabi like [Descript](https://descript.com).

Clips you already made are finished video files you can keep posting. They are already in your Media Library, where they stay available after Creator Studio is removed.

## Edit and resize videos for social

Inside Creator Studio, **Adobe Express** handles video work: adjusting the layout for different social platforms, adding text and a logo, trimming, changing the background color, and adding animated transitions.

Adobe Express itself does not disappear from Kajabi. Media Library still uses Adobe Express for images, where you can generate an image with AI, browse **Adobe Stock**, and crop, resize, or add text and filters to any image in your library.<br /><br />[Learn more about Media Library](../../media-library/media-library-overview).

To edit video, you have options outside Kajabi:

* Purchase Adobe Express directly from [Adobe](https://new.express.adobe.com) to keep working in the same editor
* Use a third party tool like **Descript** to edit video through its transcript
* Use a video editing tool like [**iMovie**](https://www.apple.com/imovie/index.html) for basic trimming and assembly

## Share clips to social platforms

Creator Studio posts finished clips straight to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Kajabi does not publish to social platforms today, so once you have a finished video file, you can upload the file to each platform directly or use a third-party social scheduling tool.

## FAQs

### Will I lose the projects and content I created?

Your video clips are already saved to your Media Library, so those are not at risk. Your written content, transcripts, and subtitle files are a different matter: running the export is what emails those to you, and anything you leave behind becomes unavailable once Creator Studio is removed.

### Why are my video clips not in the export?

The emailed ZIP file holds text only. Your clips are in your Media Library instead, so check there rather than in the ZIP file. They carry the Tag **Creator Studio**, so you can filter by that Tag to pull them up. If you saw **There's nothing to export yet**, that message is about written content only and has no bearing on your clips.

### Can I still create Creator Studio projects?

That depends on whether you pay for the add-on. The Creator Studio add-on is closed to purchase, and accounts without a paid add-on can no longer create projects. If you currently pay for the Creator Studio add-on, you can keep creating projects until Creator Studio is sunset.

### Does Kajabi have a built-in video clipping tool?

Not at this time. Media Library covers transcription, translation, dubbing, chapters, and analytics for your video, but not transcript-based clipping.

### Has Adobe Express been removed from Kajabi?

No. Adobe Express still powers image creation and editing in Media Library, including AI image generation and Adobe Stock browsing. Only the Adobe Express video editing built into Creator Studio goes away.

### Do transcripts cost anything now?

Transcriptions run on AI Credits rather than being included with a Creator Studio plan. Pro and Founders plans include 1,000 AI Credits each month, Growth includes 500, and transcription uses 1 credit per minute. Any plan can buy more credits.

### Can I still download transcripts and subtitle files?

Yes. Media Library generates transcripts for your uploaded video and lets you download and edit SRT files, the same subtitle format Creator Studio produced.
