Expert Agents overview

Deploy AI chat experiences that answer member and prospect questions across your Kajabi site.

Expert Agents are AI chat experiences you add to your Kajabi pages to answer questions in your voice, using your own content and Offers. They work around the clock, so your students get help while they learn and your prospects get answers while they decide — without you being online.

There are two types of Expert Agents, each built for a different moment in the member journey. 

• A Teaching Assistant supports members who already own a Product
• A Sales Agent helps prospects on your landing pages before they buy

Both types share the same foundation: they’re grounded in materials you’ve already published, they live on Kajabi-hosted pages, and you control their name, tone, and placement.

Types of Expert Agents

Teaching Assistant

A Teaching Assistant lives inside a Product and answers member questions using the Lessons, transcripts, and Community posts they already have access to. It speaks in the third person about your expertise (“Based on what Coach Sarah teaches in Module 3…”), never claims to be you, and refers members back to you for deeper engagement. Each member only sees answers sourced from content their Product membership grants them access to.

Sales Agent

A Sales Agent lives on your Landing and Sales Pages and helps prospects before they buy — answering questions about pricing, what’s included, and which Offer is the right fit. Because it speaks to prospects rather than enrolled members, it can reference your Offer details and product descriptions without the visitor needing to own anything first.

How Expert Agents work

• Agents are powered by AI and trained on materials you’ve already published — your content, transcripts, and Offer details
• They respect access. A Teaching Assistant only answers from content a member can access, and a Sales Agent references the Offers you link it to.
• They live on Kajabi-hosted pages. You place an Agent using the Theme Editor as either a floating chat button or an embedded chat block.
• They’re text-based at launch — no voice mode

Agents only work on themes built on the latest Encore and Premier site themes, and Premier and Momentum product themes: Encore Site 2.14.7, Encore Landing Page 2.14.7, Encore Offer 2.14.7, Encore Offer Upsell 2.14.7, Premier site 6.5.2, Premier Product 7.10.3, Momentum Product >=7.1.3 and above.

Third-party templates can be updated to work with Agents.

AI model

Expert Agents run on GPT-5.4 for more accurate, more natural responses. Both Teaching Assistants and Sales Agents use it. To confirm the model an agent is running, open the Agent and check the AI model field in its details.

Pricing

Expert Agents are priced per agent, per month. Every agent you add includes 1,000 messages per month and 250 AI credits per month.

FAQs

What’s the difference between a Teaching Assistant and a Sales Agent?

A Teaching Assistant supports members who already own a Product, answering questions from content they can access. A Sales Agent helps prospects before they buy, referencing your Offer details and product descriptions on a Landing Page. Both are Expert Agents and share the same plan limit.

How are messages billed?

Expert Agents are priced per agent, per month, and each agent includes 1,000 messages per month and 250 AI credits per month. There is no separate per-message charge for the messages included with your agents. See Pricing for current rates. If usage terms change in the future, any update will be announced before it takes effect.

Can a member or visitor talk to an Expert Agent by voice?

No. Expert Agents are text-only at launch.

What language do Expert Agents respond in?

An Agent responds in the language the person writes in, and draws from your content in whatever language it was originally written or captioned in. You can add a custom instruction if you want an Agent to respond in a single language.

Can an Expert Agent be embedded on a non-Kajabi website?

No. Expert Agents render only on Kajabi-hosted pages.
