How duration works
Three rules cover nearly every scenario:- Duration counts payments, not calendar time. A coupon set to repeat for 2 months discounts the first two payments. Once applies to the first payment only. Forever applies to every payment.
- Annual subscriptions bill once per year. A duration shorter than 12 months only reaches the first payment. To discount multiple years, use increments of 12 months: 24 months covers two annual payments.
- Discounts cap at 100% of each payment. If the amount off exceeds the payment amount, the customer pays $0 for that payment. The difference doesn’t carry over.
